The abandoned concrete structure on the Hungaria Avenue got a facelift
The building structure that has been standing unfinished for many years was turned into an office building on the Hungaria Avenue, opposite the Puskás Ferenc Stadium. The second phase of the construction works of the new seven-storey office building was carried out by West Hungária Bau Kft. (WHB). The office building’s outer facade was finished, the next step will be the interior architecture works.

The construction and installation works as well as the outer facade of the structurally complete building on 17-19 Hungaria Avenue in District 14 in Budapest were carried out by West Hungária Bau Kft (WHB).

A seven-storey office building and a two-storey underground carpark were built out of the concrete structure that has been standing unfinished for many years opposite the Puskás Ferenc Stadium underground station. The investor is the OTP Property Investment Fund.

In the second phase of the office building’s construction works nearly a 100 modern aluminium windows and doors were built in to prevent the noise pollution generated by the traffic of Hungaria Avenue getting into the building.
In addition to the aluminium and glass the façade is also decorated with stone cladding. Within the framework of the project besides the water and heat insulation, roofing and façade lighting were provided and the new office building was also equipped with lightning protection. With the reconstruction, the two neighbouring buildings’ fire walls were also transformed.

Attila Paár the WHB Group’s owner emphasized: „The WHB is a financially strong company that has proved itself to be a key player of the Hungarian construction industry on many projects so far. We are proud to have transformed yet another location creating something memorable in the cityscape.”
